Printing tips

  • In the print dialog, choose 100% / Actual size.
  • Turn off Fit to page or Shrink to fit.
  • Select the same paper size as the template (A4, Letter, F4, and so on).
  • Match portrait or landscape to the preview.
  • For custom sizes, your printer must support that paper size. Otherwise download the PDF and print on a compatible device.

What lined paper is for

Lined paper keeps handwriting even. 8 mm ruling is a common notebook spacing; 4–6 mm suits smaller writing or more lines per page; 10–12 mm is easier for early handwriting practice.

A4, Letter, and F4 lined paper

A4 lined paper is 210 × 297 mm. US Letter is 215.9 × 279.4 mm. F4 lined paper is 215 × 330 mm — taller than A4 and shorter than Legal. Choose F4 when your school or office stock is F4, not Letter.

How to use

Select Lined, pick a size, set spacing, optionally add a red margin line, then download the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

What spacing should I use for school notes?

8 mm is a reliable default. Use 7 mm if you want slightly more lines, or 10 mm for younger students.

Can I print F4 lined paper?

Yes. Select F4 (215 × 330 mm) in this paper maker and print at actual size on F4 stock. Do not confuse F4 with Legal.

How do I print lined paper online?

Select Lined, pick A4, Letter, or F4, set spacing, optionally add a margin line, then download the PDF and print at 100%.
