Printing tips

  • In the print dialog, choose 100% / Actual size.
  • Turn off Fit to page or Shrink to fit.
  • Select the same paper size as the template (A4, Letter, F4, and so on).
  • Match portrait or landscape to the preview.
  • For custom sizes, your printer must support that paper size. Otherwise download the PDF and print on a compatible device.

When to use squared paper

Squared paper is the everyday math pad: one box size, no major/minor hierarchy. 5 mm squares are common in schools; 10 mm squares are easier for younger students.

F4 squared paper

Choose F4 for 215 × 330 mm notebook paper used in many schools outside North America.

Frequently asked questions

What square size should I use?

5 mm squares are common in schools. 10 mm squares are easier for younger students and large handwriting.
